The world-famous lupin fields around Lake Tekapo in New Zealand South Island attract thousands of tourists every spring. Yet, every year the view remains pristine and soothing. The crystal clear waters are framed by the picturesque distant mountains and pebble beaches decorated with abundant flowering plants. They enrich the scenery with bright indigo, soothing lilac, and luxurious purple blossoms. The landscape is fresh and calm, instilling a sense of balance due to the perfectly harmonized proportions, colour palette and palpable stillness of the captured moment.
This painting is a part of my 30x030x30 series. This artwork looks particularly impressive when displayed with other works from this series: the pictures are the same size and create a pleasing-to-the-eye composition.
“November, Lake Tekapo, NZ” is painted with acrylic paints on canvas, sealed with varnish to enhance the lifetime and comes signed and framed, with a wire on the back ready for hanging.
