The artist’s original art, “Bay of Fires, TAS”, by Australian artist Marina Strijakova.
I took inspiration for this painting from my recent trip to Tasmania with Stan and our son Steven, this time from the magnificent Bay of Fires on Tasmania’s northeast coast. The lichen, a type of algae endemic to this area, causes the rocks on its shoreline of almost 50 kilometres to have an iconic hue of orange. Being there feels like visiting another planet while still breathing some of the purest oxygen on Earth.
This painting is a part of my 30x030x30 series. This artwork looks particularly impressive when displayed with other works from this series: the pictures are the same size and create a pleasing-to-the-eye composition.
“Bay of Fires, TAS” is painted with acrylic paints on canvas, sealed with varnish to enhance the lifetime and comes signed and framed, with a wire on the back ready for hanging.
